Our client sits on the owner’s side of a national data center program and is hiring a Senior Project Scheduler to support delivery across the portfolio. This is a fully remote seat — no assigned site, no travel requirement.

Because the program spans multiple regions and delivery partners, the work is less about one building and more about seeing across a portfolio: comparing schedules that were not built to the same standard, spotting where a contractor’s reported progress does not survive scrutiny, and giving the owner a straight answer about where the program actually stands.

This is an owner’s-side seat. You are not defending a schedule. You are testing one.

The Role

What you will own

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Primavera P6 schedules across multiple sites within a national data center program
  • Review and challenge contractor-submitted schedules for logic integrity, resource loading, and realistic durations
  • Build and hold a consistent WBS, activity coding, and calendar standard across sites that did not start with one
  • Run weekly and monthly update cycles remotely with project managers, delivery partners, and commissioning leads
  • Test reported progress against verifiable evidence rather than accepting percent complete at face value
  • Produce portfolio-level reporting that tells the owner which sites are genuinely at risk and why
  • Run schedule risk reviews, scenario modeling, and recovery analysis
  • Track long-lead equipment, manufacturing, and delivery exposure across the program
  • Tie construction sequencing to commissioning and energization paths for critical power and mechanical systems
  • Maintain audit-ready baselines, variance logs, and change documentation

Requirements

What we need to see

  • 5+ years of scheduling or project controls experience on large capital or data center programs
  • Expert-level Primavera P6
  • Prior owner-side, owner’s-representative, or program management experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to review and challenge a contractor schedule, not just maintain your own
  • Working knowledge of commissioning workflows, MEP coordination, and critical path behavior
  • The judgment to know which variance matters and the communication to make that clear to leadership
  • Genuine self-direction — this is a distributed team with no one looking over your shoulder
  • Bachelor’s in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience
